Gardner-Webb Baseball To Raise Money and Awareness for Childhood Cancer Research

BOILING SPRINGS, NC – The Gardner-Webb baseball team will participate in its annual drive to raise money and awareness to fight childhood cancer throughout the months of October and November.
The fundraiser will kick off with members of the GWU baseball team getting their heads shaved Saturday, October 4 at 5:00pm at John Henry Moss Stadium/Bill Masters Field, which will be followed by an intrasquad scrimmage at 6:00pm.
In addition to members of the team shaving their heads on Saturday, some have committed to not shaving for the months of October and November.
During the past two years, the Gardner-Webb baseball team has raised nearly $10,000 through the VS. Cancer Foundation to benefit the Levine Childrens Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. in their fight to defeat childhood cancer. To donate, please visit http://team.vs-cancer.org/gw
