Gardner-Webb Women's Tennis Selected Eighth in Big South Preseason Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Big South Conference released it's annual preseaon poll, based on voting conducted by the head coaches from the Conference, and Gardner-Webb was selected to finish in the eighth position, the League announced today.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will return only one senior the season Yasmin Doost. Doost a very expierenced player along with the talented junior Rokia Sacko will lead head coach Jim Corn's young team this season.
Winthrop snagged the first-place spot in the voting with a total of 97 votes, garnering eight first place votes and finishing just seven points ahead of Charleston Southern (90).
GWU finished in eighth-place with 33 total points between UNC Asheville (40) in the seventh spot and Presbyterian (23) in ninth.
The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team will open its 2015 season at home versus Limestone on Tuesday, February 3rd.
