Vincent Blanchette Named Big South Men's Co-Golfer of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Gardner-Webb men's golf Junior Vincent Blanchette was named the Choice Hotels Big South Men's Co-Golfer of the Week this afternoon as selected by the Conference office.
Blanchette garnered the weekly honor via his consistent play at the 2015 Donald Ross Intercollegiate this past Monday and Tuesday. Blanchette shot a first round even par 70 then added a 2-under par 68 in his second round Monday afternoon, followed by another 70 in his final round to finish -2 in a tie for fourth-place at the tournament just one stroke behind the three co-medalists. Blanchette played a major factor in aiding Gardner-Webb to second-place finish as a team at the event.
Blanchette and the rest of the men's golf team will be back in action this coming Monday and Tuesday, Oct 19-20, at the Phoenix Invitational hosted by Elon University at the Alamance Country Club in Burlington, N.C.
