LIVE RESULTS (LINK)

GREENSBORO – Both Gardner-Webb swim teams got off to a strong early start Friday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, hitting the pool for the first time this season for the 2015 All-North Carolina Invitational.

The GWU men sit in third place after the first day's 12 events, just off the pace of host NC State and East Carolina. The GWU women are in sixth after the initial day's action.

The final day of action will begin on Saturday morning at 10:30 am.

Standout senior Nathan Lile picked up where he left off last season, winning the men's 100 free with a time of 20.83 – less than one second off his best time last season. Lile also helped the GWU "A" relay squad to third-place finishes in the 200 Free Relay (1:24.95) and 400 Medley Relay (3:28.96).

Connor Bos joined Lile in both the 200 free and 400 medley relay finishes and took eighth place himself in the 50 free with a time of 21.56. Luke Denman also had a top-10 finish with a time of 4:46.98 in the men's 500 free.

Gardner-Webb's women posted top-10 relay finishes in the 200 free and 400 Medley, with both "A" and "B" relay squads taking top-10 spots in the 400 Medley.

The quartet of Kelsey Williams, Georgie Graves, Lili Toth and Christina Clayton finished the 200 free relay in seventh place with a time of 1:39.00 and Williams, Toth and Graves joined Taylor Schwartz to finish 8th in the 400 medley relay (4:02.16).
