BOILING SPRINGS --- Gardner-Webb has finalized its schedule for the upcoming 2016 lacrosse season, and will play 11 of its 17 regular season games at Spangler Stadium – including a pair of first-year programs – announced head coach Jillian Krick Friday.
"I am extremely excited to begin our second season as a program," said Krick. "Facing some of the same competition we faced last year will be good for us to continue to grow. My staff and I are excited to continue to build the foundation and a tradition for this program."
The Runnin' Bulldogs will play three games on the road during their non-conference schedule, traveling to nearby Limestone College on February 5, Virginia Commonwealth on February 14 and Furman on February 24.
Six of Gardner-Webb's non-conference tilts will be played at Spangler Stadium, including the Runnin' Bulldogs' home opener against ACC foe Virginia Tech on Sunday, February 7.
