
Women's Basketball Faces Wofford Thursday Night

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.- Gardner-Webb puts its two-game win streak on the line, when it hosts Wofford for the second of a five-game home stand on Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. Thursday's game will be the first game of a double header with the GWU men's team, which hosts Toccoa Falls. The men's game will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game. Last Time Out
The Runnin' Bulldogs rolled past Montreat 84-49 in its home opener on Tuesday morning. Tuesday's game was also the second annual Education Day, in which nearly 2,000 school- aged children filled the Paul Porter Arena. Four players scored in double-figures for the Runnin' Bulldogs and were led by Olivia Parker's 15 points and 7 rebounds. All 13 players that dressed for Gardner-Webb saw action against Montreat, including Charlisa Jenkins, Evelyn Adebayo, Ky'Asia Stanford, Morgan Ackermann, and Mariah Reid, that all saw action in their first collegiate basketball game.
Series Notes
This is the 11th meeting all-time between the Runnin' Bulldogs and the Terriers. The two team have faced each other in every year since 2005. Gardner-Webb and Wofford each own a 5-5 record in the series, since Gardner-Webb joined the Division I ranks in the 2000-01 season.

2 Friday's road win the season-opener was the first victory for Gardner-Webb in a road season opener since the 2010-11 season, when it defeated Wofford 62-47.
2 Tuesday's victory in the home-opener against Montreat is the third consecutive year that the Runnin' Bulldogs have won the season-opener.
2 Seniors Olivia Parker and Candace Brown enter the 2015-16 season with 858 and 803 points respectively and can become the third pair of teammates to go over the 1,000 point mark in the same season.
2 With a victory over Wofford, it will be the first time since 2013-14 that Gardner-Webb starts the season 2-0, as GWU opened the 13-14 season with victories over Montreat, UNC Greensboro, and Kennesaw State.
