Mendy Named Second Team All NCCSIA

HIGH POINT, N.C.- Marvin Mendy has been named to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information University Second Team All-State.
The forward played the season-opener at South Carolina, but an injury caused Mendy to miss the next five matches. In just his second game back from injury, the freshman forward scored two goals and added an assist for a five point contest at North Carolina State.
A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, , Mendy scored the game-winning to give the Runnin' Bulldogs a 1-0 victory at Liberty, its first victory in Lynchburg since Oct. 19, 2010.
Gardner-Webb ended the 2015 campaign with a 4-14 overall record and went 3-6 in Big South Play, earning it a berth in the conference tournament.
