BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Duke rallied with four consecutive wins to close out action at Gardner-Webb Wednesday night, topping the Runnin' Bulldogs 25-15 in non-conference wrestling action.

Gardner-Webb (6-10) picked up wins via forfeit in the 125 and 165 weight classes, but the Blue Devils (9-4) picked up key decisions at 133 and 141 pounds before GWU ace Ryan Mosley took the mat at 149 pounds.

The Stone Mountain, Ga., redshirt sophomore cruised to an easy 6-1 win over Tanner Hough to give Gardner-Webb a 9-6 team advantage.

The Blue Devils' Immanuel Kerr-Brown swung momentum briefly in the visitor's favor at 157 pound, rallying himself to post a 10-2 major decision over freshman Tyler Marinelli. Kerr-Brown fell behind early in the bout, but responded with big scoring in the second and third period to pull away and put the Blue Devils up 10-9.

Gardner-Webb led 15-10 after the forfeit at 165 pounds and a pivotal match between Brett Stein and Duke's Trey Adamson at 174 pounds loomed. After a 3-3 tie in the first period, Adamson slowly edged in front and held on for an 8-6 win that pulled Duke to within two.

It was the first of four consecutive Duke wins, with a Jacob Kasper decision (5-0) at 184 pounds followed by a major decision win by Conner Hartmann at 197 pounds and a tech fall at 285 pounds by Brendan Walsh for the final margin.

Gardner-Webb honored its lone senior Wednesday, with Aaron Rabin garnering applause during a pre-match ceremony.

The Runnin' Bulldogs will enjoy a 10-day break before getting back to action at SIU-Edwardsville on February 15 – a busy day that also features matches with Indiana and Lindenwood that afternoon.
