Back-to-back three-pointers by Dunovant and Hill, along with an old fashioned three-point play by Parker, extended the GWU lead to 19-10 with 13:33 left in the half.

Five straight points by Hill, increased Gardner-Webb's lead to double-digits (24-14) at the under 12 media timeout.

The Runnin' Bulldogs came out of the locker room with a purpose on defense, holding the Lancers to just one field goal over the first eight minutes of the second half, extending their advantage to as much as 25 with 12:55 to go in regulation.

Deborah Headen scored LU's second field goal of the second half with 10:39 left, but the Runnin' Bulldogs stifled Longwood's offense limiting the Lancers to just 4-33 shooting in the second half, as GWU would go on for the 80-53 victory.

The Runnin' Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday evening when they take to the road to face Charleston Southern at 7:00 p.m.
