CHARLOTTE --- Gardner-Webb junior Jerome Hill (Adel, Ga.) has been named Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week alongside Winthrop's Andre Smith after leading the Runnin' Bulldogs to victories over Longwood and Campbell last week.

This marks the third time Hill has received weekly honors from the Big South this season. Hill put together one of his best weeks of the campaign, averaging 22 points and 13 rebounds per game while shooting 13-for-22 (59.1 percent) from the floor and 18-for-27 (66.7 percent) at the free throw line over the two-game stretch.

He kicked off the week with 20 points, six rebounds and three assists while going 8-of-11 from the field in an 87-78 win at Longwood on Tuesday. The junior forward followed that with one of his best performances of the season on Friday, pouring in 24 points and grabbing a career-high 20 rebounds to help Gardner-Webb rally for a 73-65 overtime win over Campbell.

Hill currently leads the conference in rebounding (9.9) and ranks second in scoring (19.1). The Adel, Georgia native is leading the nation in free throw attempts this season, while ranking third in free throws made, eighth in total rebounds and ninth in total points.

Gardner-Webb returns to the court on Monday evening when the Runnin' Bulldogs host UNC Asheville at 8:00 pm in Paul Porter Arena. The game will air live on the American Sports Network and locally on Charlotte affiliate WCCB-2.
