Men's Tennis' Prostakov Earns Conference Freshman of The Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Freshman Yaroslav Prostakov was named The Crons Brand Freshman of The Week for his match play over (March 9-15), the announcement was made by the League office this morning.
Prostakov was awarded the honor by finishing this past week with a perfect 2-0 record in singles play earning victories at the No. 6 singles position over UNC Charlotte's Paul Cisti 7-6, 6-4, 10-4 and defeating Lachlan Manser of Longwood 6-2, 7-6 helping Gardner-Webb to their first Conference victory of the year.
Prostakov and the rest of the GWU men's tennis team will return to action this coming Friday March 20 as they host fellow Big South member Campbell University at the Webb Tennis Complex. The match is set to begin with doubles play at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
