
Mosley Fights Hard, Drops Opening Round Match At NCAA Championships

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Gardner-Webb's Ryan Mosley dropped a 14-5 major decision to 15th-ranked Bryant Clagon of Rider Thursday afternoon in the opening round of the 2015 NCAA Wrestling Championships.
Mosley (Stone Mountain, Ga. / Shiloh, Ga.) fell to 26-10 overall on the season, while Clagon improved to 25-9 and advances to face defending national champion Jason Tsirtsis (34-1) in the second round.
Only four seeded wrestlers were upset in the 16 first-round matches Thursday.
Mosley will now take on Lock Haven's Daniel Neff in the consolation/wrestleback bracket Thursday night at Scottrade Center. Neff (21-13) is an NCAA Championships veteran, making his third appearance in 2015 and lost an 8-2 decision to Tsirtsis on Thursday afternoon.
Doors open for the Thursday night session at 4:30 pm, with action set to begin at 6:00 pm on the mats.
