Women's Tennis Seeded at No. 8 for the 2015 Big South Women's Tennis Championship presented by Musco Sports Lighting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team earned the No. 8 seed for this coming weeks 2015 Big South Women's Tennis Championship presented by Musco Sports Lighting, which will be hosted by UNC Asheville at Asheville Racquet Club in Asheville, N.C.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will kick-off the tournament play in very first match of the Championship this coming Wednesday, April 15, as GWU will faceoff versus the No. 9 seed Presbyterian College at 9:00 a.m. ET.
Charleston Southern finished the season with an 8-1 Conference record to garner the Big South Women's Tennis Co-Regular-Season Championship, while following the tiebreaker procedure; Regular-Season Co-Champion Coastal Carolina earned the No.2 seed with an 8-1 record.
Winthrop and Liberty finished Big South play with identical 7-2 records. By virtue of head-to-head tiebreakers, the Eagles claimed the No. 3 seed and the Flames took the No. 4 seed.
Campbell finished fifth with a 5-4 record, while host UNC Asheville and Radford tied for sixth with a 3-6 League mark. In the tiebreak procedure, the Bulldogs took the No. 6 seed and the Highlanders earned the No. 7 seed.
Presbyterian College and Longwood rounded out the field with their shared record of at 1-8 tying them for ninth. PC's head-to-head win over the Lancers gave the Blue Hose the No. 9 seed, with Longwood at the No. 10 seed.
The 2015 Big South Women's Tennis Championship begins Wednesday, April 15 and concludes with the Championship contest on Saturday, April 18 in Asheville, N.C.
The Big South's tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Tennis Championship.
