Gardner-Webb Named No. 8 Seed For The 2015 Big South Men's Tennis Championship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb men's tennis team earned the No. 8 seed for this weekends 2015 Big South Men's Tennis Championship, hosted by UNC Asheville at Asheville Racquet Club in Asheville, N.C.
The Runnin' Bulldogs finished the season with a 3-5 Conference record tying them with UNC Asheville who in the head-to-head tie break procedure earned the No. 7 seed as GWU took the No. 8.
Gardner-Webb will kickoff the Championship this weekend as they face off against the No. 9 seed Longwood University in the first round with the opening match to be played Saturday, April 18 at 9:00 a.m.
Coastal Carolina finished the season with a 6-1 Big South record to claim its fourth Big South Men's Tennis Regular-Season Championship, while Liberty earned the No. 2 seed with a 6-2 Conference mark.
Winthrop and Campbell finished Big South play with identical 5-3 records and in the tiebreaker procedure, the Eagles claimed the No. 3 spot and the Camels took the No. 4 seed. Presbyterian finished the season with a 4-4 record to take fifth, with Radford taking the sixth spot with a 3-4 record.
The Big South's tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship.
