
Men's Tennis Earns Academic Honors

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.- The Gardner-Webb University men's tennis team, along with three of its players, have been recognized for their academic accomplishments by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Gardner-Webb was one of 69 NCAA Division I men's tennis programs that were named to the 2015 All-Academic Team. The list is comprised of programs that have posted at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher.
As a team, the Runnin' Bulldogs posted a 3.25 cumulative GPA, which is the ninth consecutive year the men's tennis program has been honored by the ITA for their academic achievements.
Individually, Will Haas, Nicholas Lofrumento, and Nikita Zverkov were named 2015 ITA Scholar-Athletes.
To be eligible for the ITA individual listing, a student-athlete must be a varsity letterwinner, have a 3.50 or higher GPA for the current academic year, and been enrolled at the institution for two semesters.
