GWU Opens Big South Play Friday at UNC Asheville
The Gardner-Webb University volleyball team will travel to Asheville, N.C. on Friday to open its Big South Conference schedule against UNC Asheville. The Runnin' Bulldogs are 8-11 all-time against UNC Asheville, including a thrilling five-set victory over the Bulldogs in Paul Porter Arena last October.

Pashkova Chasing History
Senior Anna Pashkova is closing in on a hallowed mark in the program's record book, needing just six digs to become the third player in school history to reach the 2,000 plateau. The 5-foot-3 libero is also within striking distance of Gardner-Webb's all-time record, entering Friday's conference opener 60 digs shy of eclipsing Linette Ramseur's program record of 2,053.
Last Time Out
Gardner-Webb went to battle with two top programs at the Holiday Inn Hawkeye Challenge last weekend, falling to No. 33 University of Iowa in straight sets and dropping a pair of tough tilts against Drake.
