
Women's Basketball Hosts UNC Asheville For Senior Night

The Game
Gardner-Webb hosts UNC Asheville for its regular-season finale Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in Paul Porter Arena. Tuesday's game will also be Senior night and prior to tip-off, GWU's three seniors, Candace Brown, Olivia Parker, and Alicia Quinn will be recognized. The matchup with the Bulldogs will be streamed on the Big South Network and fans can listen to the broadcast on wgwg.org, as Jared Pankhurst and Brendan Boylan will have the call from press row.
Last Time Out
The Runnin' Bulldogs dropped a 66-63 decision at Charleston Southern on Saturday afternoon in the Buc Dome. Charleston Southern's victory snapped a six-game winning streak by the Runnin' Bulldogs and a three-game away streak by GWU inside of the Buc Dome. Tuesday's game remained close throughout and Gardner-Webb took the lead behind a 23-11 scoring advantage in the third quarter, but the difference in the game was free-throw shooting. Charleston Southern hit 15-of-16 from the line while Gardner-Webb was just 17-of-28. Olivia Parker recorded her fourth-straight double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Alecia Hardy had 11 and led three players in double-figures for the Bucs.
Series Notes
This will be the 24th meeting between Gardner-Webb and UNC Asheville, since GWU joined the Division I ranks in the 2000-01 season. Gardner-Webb and UNC Asheville split the two regular-season meetings last year with each team winning away from home.

The Runnin' Bulldogs own an 13-2 record inside of Paul Porter Arena this season. In his 11 seasons at GWU, Reeves' teams have posted a .500 mark or better inside of Paul Porter Arena in 10 of the 11 seasons, compared to just two above .500 seasons outside of Boing Springs. Reeves has posted a 112-55 mark in PPA as head coach of Gardner-Webb.
