Women's Basketball Travels To Coastal Carolina Saturday

The Game
Gardner-Webb takes to the road for its next game Saturday, when it travels to Conway, S.C. to face Coastal Carolina, in what could the final game played between the two schools. Earlier this season, Coastal announced that it would be leaving the Big South and joining the Sun Belt Conference. Saturday's game can be seen on the Big South Network.
Last Time Out
The Runnin' Bulldogs completed the season sweep of UNC Asheville in their last game with a 57-51 victory on Tuesday night inside of Paul Porter Arena. Prior to Tuesday's game, GWU's three seniors were honored, Candace Brown, Olivia Parker, and Alicia Quinn. Gardner-Webb jumped out to a 38-28 lead at halftime, but struggled to shoot in the second half knocking down just 6-of-28 from the field. GWU outrebounded the Bulldogs 47-33, including 23-14 on the offensive glass and went 11-of-22 from the free-throw line compared to just 7-of-16 from UNCA.
Series Notes
This will be the 18th meeting between Gardner-Webb and Coastal Carolina, since GWU joined the Division I ranks in the 2000-01 season. Coastal Carolina defeated GWU 59-56 in the matchup earlier this season between the two schools, while it was the Runnin' Bulldogs that won both matchups in the 2014-15 season.

The Runnin' Bulldogs own an 14-2 record inside of Paul Porter Arena this season. In his 11 seasons at GWU, Reeves' teams have posted a .500 mark or better inside of Paul Porter Arena in 10 of the 11 seasons, compared to just two above .500 seasons outside of Boing Springs. Reeves has posted a 113-55 mark in PPA as head coach of Gardner-Webb.
