CONWAY, S.C. – Gardner-Webb's series opener at #21 Coastal Carolina Friday has been moved up to a 2:00 pm start due to the threat of thunderstorms later in the evening.

The Runnin' Bulldogs (21-7, 2-1 Big South) will visit the Chanticleers (17-9, 2-1 Big South) for the first time since 2013 this weekend and will play in the new Springs Brooks Stadium for the first time. GWU took one game from Coastal in 2013, with that series played in Myrtle Beach.

Senior Brad Haymes (5-0, 1.57 ERA) will take the mound for the Runnin' Bulldogs Friday and will face his toughest task of the season – taking on one of the Big South's top offensive teams in their home park. The Chanticleers are batting .300 as a team and have belted 33 home runs through 26 games.

Jeremy Walker (4-2, 4.28 ERA) will start Saturday for Gardner-Webb and Bradley Hallman (3-1, 3.25 ERA) will take the mound Sunday. Each of the final two games of the series are still scheduled for 2:00 pm starts.

Friday begins a nine-game road swing for Gardner-Webb, with midweek games at Furman and USC Upstate – and another three-game Big South set at Campbell – in store before the 'Dogs return home to host High Point (April 15-17).
