Marcus Abraham Named Big South Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb sophomore Marcus Abraham has earned Big South Conference Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for meets competed the week of March 20-26, as announced today by the Conference office.
This past week at the 2017 Winthrop Adidas Invitational, Abraham (Charlotte, N.C. / Victory Christian Center School) set a new personal record in the shot put with a toss of 17.09 meters, which earned him a second-place finish in the event.
Abraham also finished in third place in the discus with a throw of 45.85 meters.
Gardner-Webb returns to action this weekend at the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, N.C. from March 31-April 1.
