
Runnin' Bulldogs Wrap Up USC Upstate Invitational

SPARTANBURG, SC – The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team began fall play this weekend as they competed in the USC Upstate Invitational. The tournament featured Queens University of Charlotte, Georgia Southern, Furman, USC Upstate and Gardner-Webb.
The Runnin' Bulldogs collected 11 wins as they competed in both singles and doubles events, as well as consolation matches.
In singles, Daniela Naupari defeated USC Upstate in three sets after dropping the first set (5-7, 6-1, 6-3). Naupari continued to defeated GSU in two sets recording 6-1 and 6-4 wins. However, Naupari fell in the semi's to Furman's Carol Elizabeth Kerman who would go on to win the event.
In doubles, Sanrda Bolstad and Valentine Limauge won two matches and advanced to the semifinals before falling to Furman 6-1. Bolstad and Limauge recorded a 6-4 win over Queens as well as a 6-2 victory over Georgia Southern.
