LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Gardner-Webb women's swimming team collected a pair of podium finishes, competing against BYU, Liberty, and Old Dominion at the two-day All-American Celebration meet, hosted by Liberty University at the Liberty Natatorium.
 
Gardner-Webb fell to Old Dominion by a score of 188-158, Liberty by a score of 290-56, and to BYU by a 248-96 score.
 
The first event of the meet on Friday evening was the 200-yard medley relay, in which the team of Audrey Robinson, Whitney Peters, Tessa Walsh, and Jennifer Jackson clocked in at 1:49.29 to earn a fourth-place finish.
 
Morgan VanderSchaaf led GWU in the 500-yard freestyle, taking home a sixth-place result with a time of 5:10.15.
 
In the 200-yard IM, Mary Traylor finished in eighth, touching the wall at 2:10.52.
 
Audrey Robinson was GWU's top finisher in the 100-yard backstroke, timing in at 1:00.03.
 
Jennifer Jackson placed eighth in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking in at 25.01 seconds.
 
In the 200-yard freestyle, Morgan VanderSchaff placed tenth, touching the wall at 1:58.54.
 
Whitney Peters earned a fifth-place result in the 100-yard breaststroke, timing in at 1:07.70
 
Mary Traylor led the 'Dogs in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking in at 58.97 seconds to earn a seventh-place finish.
 
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of Jennifer Jackson, Whitney Peters, Morgan Vanderschaaf, and Audrey Robinson placed fourth with a time of 1:39.21.  The grouping of Tessa Walsh, Lindsey Wright, Jessi Snover, and Blake Broullire timed in at 1:40.09 to finish in fifth.
 
In the 400-yard medley relay, the team of Spencer Lucas, Whitney Peters, Tessa Walsh, and Audrey Robinson placed third with a time of 4:01.44.  The team of Laura Wakeley, Anna Banick, Mary Traylor, and Jennifer Jackson placed sixth, timing in at 4:06.44.
 
Morgan Vanderschaff earned a third-place result in the 1,000-yard freestyle, clocking in at 10:39.24.
 
Audrey Robinson placed eighth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.43 seconds.
 
In the 200-yard backstroke, Mary Traylor clocked in at 2:10.81 to take home a ninth-place result.
 
Whitney Peters placed fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke, touching the wall at 2:26.80.
 
Tessa Walsh earned a fourth-place result in the 200-yard butterfly, timing in at 2:10.34.
 
In the 400-yard IM, Mary Traylor timed in at 4:37.47 to finish in seventh.
 
Action wrapped up with the 400-yard freestyle relay, in which the team of Audrey Robinson, Kelli Croft, Carol Zangla, and Morgan Vanderschaaf placed eighth with a time of 3:42.42.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs return to action on Friday evening at UNC Asheville.  Action is set to begin at 5:00 pm.
