BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb picked up individual wins from Kyle Homet, Anthony Perrine, Blake Mulkey, and Tyler Marinelli, but fell to George Mason by a 30-13 score on Thursday afternoon inside Paul Porter Arena.

Action began at 174 pounds, where Kyle Homet earned a 9-4 decision over Neil Schuster to give GWU an early 3-0 advantage.

George Mason answered with a major decision win at 184 pounds, but Gardner-Webb would respond at 197 pounds, as Anthony Perrine would roll to a 12-4 major decision win over Eli Spencer to once again give the 'Dogs a three-point edge at 7-4.

The Patriots would take control of the match by picking up three straight decisions, but GWU would get back on track at 141 pounds as Blake Mulkey captured a solid 12-7 decision over Julio Alegria.
