ATHENS, Ga. – The threat of inclement weather has caused a multitude of changes to the 15
th Annual Georgia Classic this weekend, which will see Gardner-Webb compete against a trio of teams.

Gardner-Webb will still open play against East Tennessee State University on Friday, February 23
rd, but the teams will face off at 10:30 a.m. rather than 3:30 p.m.

The Runnin' Bulldogs contest against No. 14 Georgia has been moved from Sunday at 1 p.m. to the nightcap on Friday evening. The game is now scheduled for 6 p.m.

Gardner-Webb will still play ETSU and College of Charleston on Saturday, but the times have changed. The Runnin' Bulldogs will open competition Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against the College of Charleston Cougars.

30 minutes after the completion of that contest, the 'Dogs will have a rematch with ETSU. The weekend's second meeting between the Runnin' Bulldogs and Bucs is currently scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

There will be no games on Sunday due to the threat of inclement weather throughout the state of Georgia. All games will be played at Jack Turner Stadium on the campus of the University of Georgia.

Gardner-Webb is coming off a sweep of North Carolina A&T. Both games lasted only six innings and the opening contest saw
Kaylee Wacaster record her 100
th hit as a Runnin' Bulldog.

Gardner-Webb currently stands at 9-4 heading into the Georgia Classic. The 'Dogs next home contest is a doubleheader against South Carolina State on Wednesday, February 28. The games are scheduled for 2 and 4 p.m. from Brinkley Stadium.
