HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Gardner-Webb women's golf competed at the 36-hole Low County Intercollegiate Saturday and Sunday, wrapping up play with a 13th-place finish.

The two round tournament was played on the 5,901-yard (Par 72) Moss Creek Golf Club course.

The Runnin' Bulldogs (343-342-685) lowered their score by one stroke in the final round Sunday. Seton Hall won the team title, followed by Albany, Appalachian State and Quinnipiac.

Gardner-Webb was led by Kristin Wong (80-88-168) in 52nd position individually. Allison Chandler (90-81-171) finished 58th, Lindsay Koppel (89-83-172) finished one stroke back in a tie for 59th and Morgan Laird (84-90-174) finished 63rd to round out the scoring for GWU.

Up next for the Runnin' Bulldogs is a trip to the 2018 Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate on April 1-2 in Morganton, N.C.
