Women's Tennis to Battle Longwood in Opening Round of BSC Tournament

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team is the No. 8 seed for the opening Big South Conference tournament, as announced by the conference office today.
Gardner-Webb will play the No. 9 seed Longwood on Wednesday, April 18 at 10 a.m. The tournament will conclude with the championship match on Saturday, April 21 at 10 a.m. All matches will take place at the Rock Hill Tennis Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
The Runnin' Bulldogs and Lancers just met to close out the regular season with Gardner-Webb earning a 5-2 victory thanks to clinching the doubles point and winning matches in the No. 3 through No. 6 singles flights.
For the year, Miljana Ristic leads the 'Dogs with 12 wins in singles play. Daniela Naupari is the other Gardner-Webb player to have double-digit victories with 10. Both Ristic and Naupari have split time between the No. 3 and No. 4 flights.
Freshman Valentine Limauge, a two-time Big South Conference Freshman of the Week honoree, is 9-8 in the No. 5 singles flight.
