MORGANTON, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb women's golf team wrapped up play at the 2018 Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate Monday afternoon, earning a 14th-place finish.
 
The two-round tournament was played on the 6,077-yard (Par 72) Mimosa Hills Country Club in Morganton, N.C.
 
GWU (321-308-629) lowered its score by 13 strokes in Monday's final round.  Troy took home the team title, followed by USC Upstate, Elon, James Madison, and Wofford.
 
Lindsay Koppel (78-72-150) led the Runnin' Bulldogs individually, finishing tied for 15th.  Allison Chandler (78-77-155) tied for 37th, while Kristen Wong (81-77-158) placed in a tie for 52nd and Morgan Laird (84-82-166) tied for 73rd overall to round out GWU's scorers.
 
Gardner-Webb will now prepare to take part in the 2018 Big South Conference Championships, taking place Friday, April 13 – Sunday, April 15 at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C.
