Gardner-Webb Earns Big South Sportsmanship Award For Men's Golf

CHARLOTTE – The Big South Conference announced Thursday afternoon that Gardner-Webb Men's Golf was its 2017-2018 recipient of the Big South Team Sportsmanship Award for the sport.
The award is voted on by the league's student-athletes during Big South Tournament play and is given to the team that exhibited a high standard of sportsmanship on the course.
Head Coach Tee Burton's team has won the award in four previous seasons (2011, 2015, 2016, 2017). The 2018 award is the fourth season in a row that GWU has captured at least a share of the award – sharing the honor with Radford in 2016.
