Women's Tennis Receives Team Sportsmanship Award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Big South Conference officials announced Thursday afternoon that the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs women's tennis team is the recipient of the 2017-18 Team Sportsmanship Award for women's tennis.
The award is voted on by student-athletes during the conference tournament and is bestowed upon the team that exhibited a high standard of sportsmanship on the court over the course of the season.
This is the 13th season that the Big South Conference has presented the Team Sportsmanship Award and the fourth time that head coach Jim Corn's squad has been a recipient. The Runnin' Bulldogs were honored last season, and Corn's teams also received the award in 2009 and 2010.
The Radford Highlanders lead the Big South Conference with four women's tennis Team Sportsmanship Awards, while Gardner-Webb and Liberty are second. The three teams are the only women's tennis squads to have received the honor on multiple occasions.
