LYNCHBURG, Va. – Coach
Mike Griffith's Runnin' Bulldogs took to the court for the second time this fall, competing for three days at the Liberty University Invitational where No. 4 seed
Millen Hurrion won the red singles draw with a 6-2, 7-6 (2) victory over No. 1 seed Nicaise Muamba of Liberty.
"We didn't play great on the first day, but the way we rebounded was incredible," said head coach
Mike Griffith. "Millen winning the championship was huge for us, as he beat the No. 1 seed, who actually transferred from Tennessee.
Maximilian Scholl played well, winning the consolation finals of the main draw. By the end of the tournament, I felt like we were as good as anybody there, not just tennis wise, but physically as well."
