
Rain Forces Multiple Changes to Tennis Schedules

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – With heavy rains throughout the Southeast United States this week, head men's and women's tennis coaches Mike Griffith and Jim Corn have announced numerous schedule changes.
The Gardner-Webb men's tennis team has made the following alterations to its schedule:

- The match against Belmont Abbey, originally scheduled for Friday, February 22, has been canceled.
- The Runnin' Bulldogs match against UNCG on Sunday, February 24 has been changed to a 3 p.m. first serve.
- Gardner-Webb has added a non-conference match against the Elon Phoenix. First serve will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Elon.
- Yesterday's match against Charlotte, which was postponed, will be played on Thursday, February 28 at 2 p.m. It is the home opener for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
- The Runnin' Bulldogs were set to begin Big South play this Saturday against Longwood, but heavy rains in the forecast have shifted that match to April. Gardner-Webb will battle the Lancers on Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m. in its regular season finale.
