
CCSA Names Eight to Swimming and Diving 2011-2020 All-Decade Teams

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Coastal College Sports Association (CCSA) announced the Swimming and Diving 2011-20 All-Decade Teams, which featured eight Runnin' Bulldogs: Lauren Oglesby, Tim Bennett, Connor Bos, Zach Dingfield, Brady Fields, Tyler Gomez, Nathan Lile, and Jordan Mintz.
To be named to the All-Decade Team individuals must have competed for at least two years in the decade as an CCSA student-athlete. Exceptions made for NCAA All-Americans. Individuals that obtained one of the following criteria were named to the team; three First Team All-Conference selections in a single event, five total First Team All-Conference selections (including relays), multiple Superlative Award winner, NCAA Championship individual participant.
Lauren Oglesby:
Oglesby swam for the Runnin' Bulldogs from 2014 to 2018, coming to the program from Woodstock, Ga. Most notably, at the 2018 CCSA Championships, Oglesby helped the 'Dogs to an overall runner up finish by taking home a win in the women's 1650 Yard Freestyle (16:46.67).
Tim Bennett
Bennett (Junior) is a current member of Gardner-Webb Swimming, who came to The Webb from Fisher, Ind. In 2019 Bennett was named the Most Outstanding Freshman Performer, and Swimmer of the Year by the CCSA. So far, Bennett has been named to four First Teams during his career, the 200 Medley Relay (2020), 200 Freestyle Relay (2019), 100 Butterfly (2019), and the 100 Backstroke (2019).
Conner Bos:
Bos swam for the Runnin' Bulldogs from 2013-2017, coming to the program from Holland, Mich. Bos, as a prominent Freestyle and Backstroker, took home the gold in the men's 100 Yard Backstroke twice (2015, 2017), while also holding the championship meet record in the event (47.61, 2-18-17). Bos was named to the First Team 200 Medley Relay (2017, 2016, 2015), First Team 200 Freestyle Relay (2017, 2016, 2015), First Team 400 Freestyle Relay (2016), and First Team 100 Backstroke (2017, 2015). In 2017, Bos was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division I Men's At-Large Second Team.
Zach Dingfield:
Dingfield (Senior) is a current member of the Runnin' Bulldogs program, hailing from Jacksonville, Fla. As a freestyler, Dingfield helped his teammates to a handful of First Team appearances: 200 Medley Relay (2020, 2019), 200 Freestyle Relay (2020, 2019), and the 400 Freestyle Relay (2018). Individually, Dingfield was named Second Team in the 200 and 100 Freestyle (2020), and the 50 Freestyle (2019). During the 2020 season, Dingfield earned Swimmer of the Week Honors on January 14th.
Brady Fields:
Fields (Junior) is a current member of the Gardner-Webb Swimming program, coming to The Webb from Marietta, Ga. This past season Fields received the 2019-20 CCSA Men's Swimmer of the year award. Fields helped the Bulldogs to back-to-back First Team Appearances in the 200 Medley Relay (2019, 2020) and the 200 Freestyle Relay (2019, 2020). Only helping to further seal his Swimmer of the year honor at the 2020 CCSA Championships, Fields also took home the gold in the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Backstroke.
Tyler Gomez:
Gomez was a member of the Runnin' Bulldogs program from 2014-2018, coming to Gardner-Webb from Concord, N.C. During his time at The Webb, Gomez helped his teammates to six First Team appearances in three events: 200 Medley Relay (2017, 2016, 2015), 200 Free Relay (2016, 2015), and the 400 Free Relay (2016). Gomez also made an individual Second team appearance in the 100 Fly in 2015.
Nathan Lile:
Lile was a member of the Gardner-Webb Swimming program from 2012-2016, coming to GW from Waynesville, N.C. Lile was named Most Outstanding Swimming of the CCSA Championship meet for back-to-back years in 2015 and 2016, as well as earning himself six swimmer of the week honors during his time with the program. Lile also earned 11 First Team appearances, five of which were on relays, and six in individual events. Lile's First Team relays consisted of the 200 Medley Relay (2016, 2015), the 200 Freestyle Relay (2016, 2015), and the 400 Freestyle Relay (2016). Lile's Individual First Team appearances include the 50 Freestyle (2016), 100 Fly (2016, 2015), 100 Freestyle (2016, 2015), and the 200 Backstroke (2013). In 2016 Lile was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® At-Large First Team, and was the first to earn the honor on the men's side.
Jordan Mintz:
Mintz (Senior) a current member of Gardner-Webb Swimming, came to GW from Fuquay-Varina, N.C. During Mintz's time with the program he has been named CCSA Swimmer of the week twice in his career, and earned a handful of First and Second Team honors. Mintz was named First Team in the 200 Medley Relay (2020, 2019), and the 100 Breaststroke (2019), and Second Team in the 200 Breaststroke (2020, 2017), and the 100 Breastroke (2017).
