BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb Men's Tennis announced the addition of Numa Lemieux-Monette from Montreal, Canada on Wednesday.
Head Coach
Mike Griffith said, "When I watched Numa's video, I loved his movement and his consistency. Many coaches and players I have talked to all rated him highly. Numa's fitness, work ethic, and professionalism, both on and off the tennis court, were common themes these people talked about."
Lemieux's best finishes in his career happened at the Canadian Outdoor Nationals in 2019, where he finished 7/8. Currently, Lemieux is ranked 41st in the Canada U18 rankings.
"Numa has played in one of the toughest sections in Canada, Quebec, for many years. Through those years, he has gained playing experience that takes years to acquire," Griffith said. "I was impressed with his overall player record and his success."
"With Numa joining us in August 2021, we will be loaded for many years to come," Griffith said.
