Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb hit the road for the first time this season and came away with a pair of wins at Charlotte, beating the 49ers 5-1 and 3-0 on Wednesday.
 
Game One Recap (Gardner-Webb 5, Charlotte 1):

• Brooke Perry only allowed two hits and one run in the circle.
• Molly Mongomery led the team with two hits.
• In the first inning Perry also hit a home run to take an early lead, driving in Andrea Lyon.
• Kayleigh Nicholson hit a third-inning double, allowing Trinity Sterrett to score.
• Sterrett scored the game's final run in the sixth inning.

 
Game Two Recap (Gardner-Webb 3, Charlotte 0):

• Freshman of the Week Andrea Lyon was strong again in the circle, allowing four hits in a shutout performance.
• Lyon also led the team at the plate, collecting two hits and three RBI. 
• In the first inning Lyon hit a home run to left, a two-run shot that also scored Autumn Owen..
• Owen scored the third run of the game in the sixth inning.
