BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb dropped a 6-1 decision to visiting Davidson in women's tennis action on Saturday afternoon.
Action began with doubles play, where Gardner-Webb (2-2) dropped all three matches to the Wildcats (3-3), all tightly contested.
Mayumi Saguchi earned a win at the No. 3 single spot for GWU, 6-3, 6-3 over Emma Heiderscheit, but the Davidson would take the remaining five matches to claim the overall win.
Gardner-Webb returns to action Thursday, February 20 at Elon at 2:30 pm.
