MANHEIM, Pa. – The Gardner-Webb wrestling team was recognized for its success in the classroom, ranking fourth on the 2020 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Top 30 Scholar All-American Team list, while
RJ Mosley was named a NWCA Scholar All-American.
The Runnin' Bulldogs posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.4220, the fourth-highest team GPA among NCAA Division I members. Drexel ranked first with a 3.5895 GPA.
Mosley, an Economics/Finance major, finished this past season with an overall record of 22-15, competing exclusively at 165 pounds and placed fourth at the 2020 Southern Conference Championships.
The Oklahoma City, Okla. native went 8-4 in dual bouts, including 4-2 against SoCon opponents to earn a spot on the league's All-Freshman team.
