Traylor and Fields Awarded CCSA Swimmer of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – On Tuesday afternoon Mary Traylor and Brady Fields were awarded swimmer of the week honors by the CCSA Conference office.

This past weekend, in the dual meet against Florida State University, Mary Traylor (Senior, Austin, TX.) took home first place in the Women's 200 Yard Fly with a time of 2:06.46. This swim was a season best for her as well. Traylor also took home fourth place in the Women's 200 Yard Individual Medley this weekend with a time of 2:11.42.

Also, in the dual meet against Florida State University, Brady Fields (Junior, Marietta, GA.) took home first place in the Men's 100 Yard Back with a time of 52.04, marking a new season best for himself. Fields (backstroke) also helped his teammates to a second-place finish in the Men's 200 Yard Medley Relay, with a time of 1:33.33. Additionally, Fields took home third place in the Men's 50 Yard Free with a time of 21.80.

Gardner-Webb Swimming will be back in action this week, as the Runnin' Bulldogs are set to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks on Thursday (21st) in Columbia, S.C. at 3:00 PM.
