Women's Tennis Releases Schedule for 2021 Spring Season

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb Women's Tennis Head Coach, Jim Corn, announced the team's schedule on Thursday morning with the first match scheduled against Elon at home on February 6th.
The 2021 schedule consists of 11 home matches, seven away matches, and the season to conclude at the Big South Conference Tournament to be held April 17-18th in Charlotte, N.C.
The season begins with a four-match homestand with Elon on February 6th. After the Elon match, they will play Young Harris on the 9th, Queens on the 11th, and Longwood on the 14th. The Longwood match will be the first Big South Conference match of the season.
The first away match of the season will be at N.C. Central in Durham, N.C. with a start time of 1:00 p.m.
When the team returns, they play their next three competitions within a week of each other at home. They start the week on the 24th against Wofford, followed by UNC Wilmington (27th), and conference foe UNC Asheville (2nd).
The Runnin' Bulldogs will travel to Charleston for a match on the 6th against Charleston Southern in Big South play and the following afternoon playing College of Charleston.
On March 10th, they face off against Presbyterian and North Dakota on the 18th, both at home. The Runnin' Bulldogs trade-off between home and away matches for the next four. They compete against Charlotte on the 20th, Campbell at home on the 27th, at Western Carolina on April 1st. The last home match will be playing on April 7th, where they face off with Limestone.
The season concludes with a two-match road trip, starting with a match at Radford on the 10th and concluding on the 13th at Davidson.
The Big South Conference Tournament is scheduled for April 17-18th at Marion Diehl Park in Charlotte, N.C. The top four teams in the regular season will qualify for the conference tournament.
