SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Gardner-Webb women's golf finished 12th at the 54-hole Terrier Intercollegiate, wrapping up play on Tuesday afternoon at Carolina Country Club.
The Runnin' Bulldogs finished just one stroke behind Tennessee Tech in the team standings and three strokes in front of UNC Asheville. Eastern Kentucky won the event and host Wofford finished seventh.
Gardner-Webb was one of six Big South Conference squads competing.
Senior
Linnea Hofgren led Gardner-Webb on the course, finishing in a tie for 12th individually. She started with a 2-under par 70 on Monday in the opening round and finished the tournament with rounds of 76 and 77.
Teammate Dominka Burdova (75-75-76) was three strokes back in 21st position and
Kayla Dowell (76-78-76) inished 30th.
Gillian O'Brien (80-79-88) finished 77th and Ellis Harvis (81-89-89) took 85th.
The Bulldogs will finish up their fall season on November 8-10, traveling to the 2021 French Broad Intercollegiate in Asheville.
