Enslin Leads 'Dogs to Splendid Showing at Davidson Invite

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Gardner-Webb completed its second weekend of fall tournament play at the Davidson Invitational Sunday afternoon. Connor Enslin posted an impressive 5-1 performance during the weekend. All players were able to collect at least one victory in their singles and doubles matches during the event.

The depth of the squad was on full display during the weekend as the players on the #3 through #6 courts went 9-3. Also, the #3 and #4 pairs in doubles went a combined 4-2 in their matches.
 
Enslin spent the weekend playing in the #4 singles flight and went a perfect 3-0. He collected these wins over Queens, Davidson, and UNCA. In doubles matches, he partnered with Alex Lepine to defeat duos from Queens and UNCA.
 
Lepine and John Spring also had strong showings during the weekend each going 4-2 overall, 2-1 in singles and doubles each. Lepine played on the #5 court while Spring was placed in the #6 position, and each had their wins come against the competition from Queens and UNCA.
 
Victor Putter and Cathal Butler finished the event with three wins apiece. Chrisjan Van Wyk and Sebastian Harris each collected two wins across the weekend. Numa Lemieux-Monette only competed in doubles matches and had two wins across the weekend. 

The Runnin' Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, October 9 for the GWU Alumni and Friends Match to be competed at the Webb Tennis Complex. The event is going to start at 10:00 a.m.
