Cullowhee, N.C. – Women's Tennis competed in the Western Carolina Fall Invite this past weekend showcasing stellar play in their singles matches. The Runnin' Bulldogs ended the event with a 9-2 record in their singles matches. In total, Gardner-Webb had 15 wins for the weekend.
 
Teodora Ristic, Manon Delsol, and Maria Jardim finished with the individual overall records going 3-2. All three players were undefeated in their singles matches defeated Presbyterian and Brenau in straight sets each time.
 
Courtney Fyvie and Elise Semmartin won their lone matches as well over Presbyterian. Elin Hellberg did not lose a game against Brenau in her singles or doubles matches to claim her two victories during the weekend. Katie Watts and Emilia Roslund paired up for a doubles match on the #3 court against Brenau for their wins during the weekend.
 
Gardner-Webb will take over two weeks of rest to prepare for their next competition, the ITA Regionals from October 21-25.
