
Fall Season Finishes at Wofford Fall Invite for Women's Tennis

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Women's Tennis concluded its fall tournament schedule on Sunday at the Wofford Fall Invite. All eight girls on the team played, and they ended the event with five wins across the singles and doubles matches.
Elin Hellberg played in the #4 bracket and collected wins over Jessica Fatemi of Emory and Appalachian State's Nejla Zukic. Elise Semmartin also collected two wins over the weekend. The first was a 6-2, 4-6, [10-5] win over Emory's Lauren Yoon, and the second was over UNC Asheville's Kendall Byers in straight sets.
The Runnin' Bulldogs pair of Katie Watts and Emilia Roslund had the team's lone doubles win of the event.
Gardner-Webb had Manon Delsol and Teodora Ristic retire from the tournament due to injuries.
