Naupari Named Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Daniela Naupari of Lima, Peru, has been named the Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 1-7. The announcement came on Wednesday afternoon, recognizing Naupari's strong performance in the team's season opener last Thursday.
In the match against Elon, Naupari went 2-0, winning both her singles and doubles matches. Her 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 victory in the No. 2 singles flight tied the match, 2-2. Naupari's performance in doubles led to a 6-1 win at the No. 1 position, which contributed to Gardner-Webb clinching the doubles point.
Next up for the Runnin' Bulldogs is on February 11th against Queens at the Webb Tennis Courts at 2:00 p.m.
