Gardner-Webb Women’s Swimming Splashes into Day One of CCSA Championships

LYNCHBURG, Va. – On Monday Gardner-Webb Women's Swimming kicked off the first of three days of the CCSA Championship meet at the Liberty Natatorium.
In the Women's 200 Medley Relay, the squad of Kayla Smith, Sydney Hall, Paris Binard, and Jessi Snover took home sixth-place with a time of 1:43.44 in finals.
Adrianna Barone finished thirteenth in the Women's 500 Free, finishing with a time of 5:06.96 for the Dogs'. Teammate Ellie Eckert also put points on the board for GWU by placing 20th with a time of 5:08.82.
In the Women's 200 Individual Medley, Jessi Snover placed fifth for the Runnin' Bulldogs. In the event Snover clocked in a time of 2:03.03 at the wall.
Alyssa Church placed 16th in the Women's 50 Free, touching the pad with a time of 24.00 in finals.
As for the Women's 800 Free Relay, the quartet of Alyssa Church, Mary Traylor, Anna Frye, and Jessi Slover swam a time of 7:35.59 to take home sixth-place for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
Gardner-Webb Women's Swimming will be back in action tomorrow for day two of the Women's CCSA Championships.
