Traylor Places Second In 400 IM On Day Two Of CCSA Championships

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Gardner-Webb Swimming posted a solid day of swims in day two of the CCSA Championship meet at the Liberty Natatorium on Tuesday evening.
In the first event of the day, the squad of Kayla Smith, Sydney Hall, Mary Traylor, and Alyssa Church finished sixth in the Women's 400 Medley Relay.
Jessi Snover placed fourth for the Dogs' in the Women's 100 Fly, posting a time of 55.23 on the touchpad.
Shortly after, Mary Traylor took home a big second place finish for Gardner-Webb in the Women's 400 Individual medley. Traylor posted a time of 4:23.96 in the event.
In the Women's 200 Free, Alyssa Church placed 11th with a time of 1:53.12. Anna Frye placed 16th for Gardner-Webb with a time of 1:53.98.
Sydney Hall placed 15th in the Women's 100 Breast with a time of 1:05.64, and Alexandra Haasser took home 16th place with time of 1:05.78 at the finish.
As for the Women's 100 Back, Kayla Smith took home seventh-place for GWU by going a time of 56.36 at the finish.
In the last event of the day, the quartet of Kayla Smith, Audrey Robinson, Alyssa Church, and Jessi Snover placed sixth in the Women's 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:34.86.
Gardner-Webb Women's Swimming is currently sitting in seventh place with 553.5 points through event 14 in the CCSA Championship standings.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will be back in action tomorrow for the third and final day of the Women's CCSA Championships.
