
Men Collect Five More Gold's In Night Two of CCSA’s

LYNCHBURG, Va. – On Saturday night, Gardner-Webb Men's Swimming completed their second night of finals of CCSA Champions at the Liberty Natatorium. At the end of day two the men are still sitting pretty in first place with 731 points.
In the first event of the day, the squad of Brady Fields, Jonathan Frye, Cullen Fields, and Seggio Bernardina collected yet another gold for the Dogs' in the Men's 200 Medley Relay. The men finished the event with a time of 3:15.35, beating out FAU by just a little under a second.
As for the 100 Fly, the men took a 1-2 finish. Tim Bennett took home the gold with a time of 48.96, and Cullen Fields took silver with a time of 48.99. Seggio Bernardina placed fifth with a time of 48.81, and Steven Laflamme placed seventh with a time of 51.02.
Chase Mattingly took home a big first-place finish for Gardner-Webb in the Men's 400 Individual Medley, clocking in with a time of 3:54.65. While Colby Childress placed fourth in the event with a time of 4:01.15, and Christian Jann placed fifth with a time of 4:01.67.
Drew Mintz took home third-place for GWU in the Men's 200 Free with a time of 1:41.21 at the finish.
In the Men's 100 Breast, Jonathan Frye placed third by clocking in a time of 55.94.
The men had a 1-2 finish in the 100 Back, Brady Fields took home the gold with a time of 51.32 at the finish. Tim Bennet placed second in the event with a time of 51.17.
Toping of the night yet again in winning fashion, the men took home another gold in the 200 Free Relay. The squad of Brady Fields, Tim Bennet, Drew Mintz, and Seggio Bernardina had a finishing time of 1:21.42.
