Jha’Quan Anderson Named to 2021 SoCon Wrestling All-Freshman Team

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Gardner-Webb redshirt freshman Jha'Quan Anderson earned a spot on the 2020-21 Southern Conference Wrestling All-Freshman team, as announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.
Anderson (Conyers, Ga./ Roswell, Ga.) was voted to the 11-member All-Freshman class by the SoCon's head coaches.
Finishing the regular season with a 7-1 record, Anderson was 6-1 in SoCon duals with a pair of major decision wins and will enter this weekend's SoCon Championship as the No. 2 seed in the 184-pound weight class bracket.
The 2021 SoCon Wrestling Championship begins on Sunday, February 28 at the Holmes Convention Center in Boone, N.C. First-round action begins at 10:00 am, with the finals set to begin at 7:00 pm. All action will be broadcast on ESPN+ (WatchESPN.com / ESPN App).
