BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb dropped a three-set decision to visiting Campbell in Big South Conference volleyball action Thursday night inside Paul Porter Arena.
Gardner-Webb (2-9, 2-9 Big South) fell to Campbell (7-2, 7-2 Big South) 25-18. 25-7, and 25-17.
The Runnin' Bulldogs totaled 24 kills on the night on 109 swings, hitting at a -.018 rate. Campbell collected 36 kills on 96 attempts with a .229 attacking percentage.
Kylee Garrison and
Alexandria Roycraft each had six kills on the night to lead the GWU attack, followed by
Lauryn Rocassin and
Delaney McCullough with five each.
Tori Weatherley dished out a team-high 14 assists.
Sophia Bolden had a team-high 13 digs, while
Alexandria Roycraft had two total blocks to lead that effort.
The Camels were led on the attack by Lailah Green with eight smashes on 21 swings. Emily Mitter had a match-high 17 assists.
Mitter also led Campbell with 11 digs, while Sarah Colla and Hailey Wilson each had three total blocks on the night.
