Gardner-Webb's Hofgren Named Big South Women's Golfer of the Week

CHARLOTTE – Gardner-Webb's Linnea Hofgren has been named Big South Conference Women's Golfer of the Week following a strong performance at the 2021 Low Country Invitational.
Hofgren (Molnlycke, Sweden) averaged a score of 72.5 over the 36-hole event, which was held on Hilton Head Island, S.C., at the Bear Creek Golf Club (5,906 yards, Par 72).
Hofgren's final round of 70 pushed Gardner-Webb into sixth place as a team – and she finished fifth individually. Her six birdie putts over 36 holes were among the tournament leaders and that effort helped Gardner-Webb shoot minus-2 on Par 5 holes through the tournament.
The weekly award is the second of Hofgren's career at Gardner-Webb.
