ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Gardner-Webb redshirt sophomore
RJ Mosley dropped a 4-2 decision in the second round of wrestlebacks at the 2021 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships Friday afternoon, taking place at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo.
No. 28 Mosley took on No. 11 Cameron Amine of Michigan in one of the opening bouts of Friday's afternoon session. The Oklahoma City, Okla. native was unable overcome a takedown early in the first period, falling by a 4-2 decision.
Mosley finishes the season with a 12-6 overall record, going 1-2 in his first trip to the NCAA Championships.
Thursday night, Mosley defeated No. 12 Jake Keating of Virginia by a 9-7 decision in the first wrestleback round. Mosley dropped a narrow 8-6 decision to No. 5 Zack Hartman of Bucknell in Thursday's opening round.

Jha'Quan Anderson was also 1-2 in his first trip to the NCAA's, as the redshirt freshman opened action Thursday with a 3-1 sudden victory over No. 33 Joe Accousti of Sacred Heart in the pigtail round. No. 32 Anderson advanced to take on No. 1 Aaron Brooks from Penn State, and would fall by a 17-1 tech fall early in the third period.
In the first wrestleback round, the Conyers, Ga. native dropped a 14-3 major decision to No. 16 Max Lyon of Purdue.
Anderson finished the season with an overall record of 10-4.
